Simplicity, tradition and goodness of an ancient recipe make the original Amaretti di Saronno a unique biscuit. Amaretto, hard or dry, has as its main ingredients sugar, bitter almonds (apricot kernels) and egg white, without the addition of flavours. Originating in the city of Saronno, they are produced by the confectionery company D. Lazzaroni & C., which holds the registered trademark "Amaretto di Saronno". The Amaretti di Saronno Lazzaroni are decorated with sugar granules, packaged in pairs, wrapped in the famous bow-tied tissue paper and contained in the traditional and elegant tin boxes.
The original amaretti biscuits that were first created in the 18th century to celebrate the visit of the Cardinal of Milan to the town of Saronno.
Ingredients
Sugar, apricot kernels (bitter almonds) 20%, egg white, raising agent (ammonium acid carbonate). It may contain traces of cereals containing gluten, other nuts, soy, milk, lupine, sesame.
